POS User Security

If you have Polygon POS running on your POS terminals, you are able to setup POS User Security Roles which will determine which features and functions your POS staff will have access to. This is also how to will grant or deny your POS staff access to the Settings menu within Polygon Paperless (KMS).

You will also determine the level of security to be applied to POS User passwords.

From Polygon POS Management,

Access Application Settings by either, pressing "Ctrl + A", or, selecting File from the main menu, then selecting Application Settings,

In the Polygon POS Management section, choose Security.

Enforce POS User account privileges on No Sale button
If this setting is enabled, the cash drawer will only open when the No Sale button is used if the POS User currently logged on has been granted that access in the assigned security role. If this setting is not enabled, the cash drawer will open everytime the No Sale button is used at the POS.

Minimum POS user pin length (maximum length is 8)

Enter the minimum number of digits for a POS User pin.

Prevent Insecure POS user pin combinations

If this setting is enabled, the system will validate the password and prevent those deemed to be insecure. Sequential numbers (1234) and multiples (4444) will be denied.
