Bank Account Details

From Polygon Back Office,

Access the Bank Accounts File by clicking on the Bank Accounts button on the toolbar,

Then click the New button to create a new Account, or,

Highlight an existing account and click the New From button to create a new account based on the selected account, or,

Highlight an existing account and click the Change button to edit the selected account.

To Create a new Account enter:

•The Account Name - Enter the account name here;

•General Ledger Account - This field is automatically entered by the system;

•The Account Type - Can be Cheque, Credit Card, Investment, Loan or Savings;

•Account Number - Can include letters and numbers and must be unique.  That means no other accounts can have the same account number;

•Click OK to save your changes

Polygon Back Office includes an electronic payment feature which creates an ABA file containing a list of transactions which can be sent to a bank website for processing.  This feature is only available for Cheque Accounts.  The following information which is provided by the bank, needs to be entered in the Bank Account Details form in order to enable direct entry payments from this account.  

•BSB

•User Bank

•User ID

This information will be used when generating direct entry (ABA Files) for supplier payments and employee pay slips

The Account Name, Account Type, Account Number and ABA File Settings are changeable fields.  If the Account Name is changed the associated General Ledger Account will automatically be updated with the new name.

Note: If the account has transactions recorded, the Account Type will not be changeable.  

When you have entered the new details for an account, click the OK button to save your changes.
