Client/Member Accounts (POS Management)

Clients are people to whom you are prepared to extend credit and they are permitted to run up accounts with you through the Terminal. The terminal software allows you to choose a client to charge an account to and ultimately, an invoice will be created in the client file in Polygon Back Office.

 

The Polygon POS Management Clients File allows you to add/remove or modify client accounts which can be accessed from the FOH.  In order to manage client POS transactions, the Polygon POS Management Client records should be linked to Client records in the Polygon Back Office system.  Once a client record has been configured in Polygon Back Office, client records can be linked from the Polygon POS Management > POS Client Account Details form.

The following options are available from the POS Client Accounts file:

New - Click on the New button to create a new Client Account.  This will load the POS Account Details form where additional Client information can be recorded;

Handy Hint: The New From button allows you to create another client account that may be similar to already created supplier account, and can then be adjusted as needed rather than created from scratch. To do this select a completed client account and click the New From button. This will open the POS Account Details form and fill it in with the details from the highlighted Client Account.

Change - Highlight an account and then click on the Change button to edit an existing Client Account this will load the POS Account Details form where additional Client information can be recorded;

Delete - Highlight the account and then click on the Delete button to delete an existing Client Account;

Reload List - This button is useful if you have a multi-user license where more than one user can access Polygon POS Management at a time. Click this button to update the list with any changes made by other users such as newly created or recently deleted items.

Print List - This button generates a printable PDF report which shows the Client Accounts list currently shown in the Client Accounts File. This document can be saved, printed or converted into a CSV file which can be loaded into spreadsheet applications such as Excel.
