PLU Pricing/Points Plan Preview Details

The PLU Pricing/Points Plan Preview Details form is used to review PLU pricing or points adjustments before they are applied. This form has two PLU lists. The top PLU list shows the current prices or points of PLUs selected in this pricing plan. The bottom list shows Target Update Values, that is, the prices or points that will be assigned to these PLUs if the current update plan is applied. From this form you can edit prices/points for individual PLUs, delete an item from the list of changes, print a report of the planned changes, apply this update plan or save the update plan so that it can be re-used later. This form is accessible from the PLU Pricing/Points Management form, it is strongly recommended that you read this section as well.

From Polygon POS Management,

Access the PLU Pricing/Points Management form by selecting Products from the main menu, then,

•Selecting Product Pricing Management for product price management, or,

•Selecting Loyalty Awarded Points Management.for awarded points management, or,

•Selecting Loyalty Redemption Points Management for redemption points management.

Then, either, Load a saved Update Plan by clicking the Load Preset Update Plan button from the Preset Updates Plans tab, or,

Configure a new Price/Points Management Plan, then click the Preview Price/Points Update Plan button.

•Change - To change the update price/points of an item, (the price that the item will have when this update plan is applied). Highlight the item (in the lower list) and click the Change button. This will load the PLU Pricing/Points Details form where you can manually enter this PLU's new price or points for each price level;

•Delete - To remove a PLU from the list of changes, highlight the PLU (in the lower list) and click the Delete button. Removing the PLU from the lower list means that when this Update Plan is applied, the deleted PLU update will not be changed;

A PLU may be listed in the Target Update Values list a number of times, once for each selected location and once for the default price/points. This means if you delete a PLU change for one location, there may still be other changes for this PLU at other locations. An easy way to check how many location changes have been stored for a PLU is to sort the PLUs by description (By clicking the Description heading), then apply a secondary sort by holding Control on the keyboard and clicking the Location Heading.

Remember that a blank item under the Location heading indicates this is the Default price/points for this PLU.

•Find - To search for a particular PLU in the Target Update Values list, type part of, or all of the PLU description in the Find box at the top of the window. The first PLU in the list to contain this text in its description will be highlighted;

•Print - Clicking the Print button will generate a report which shows all of the PLU data contained in the Target Update Values list, in the order in which they are sorted. This report can be printed, saved, or converted to CSV format which can be loaded into many spread sheet programs such as MS Excel;

•Save - Clicking the Save button will load the PLU Update Plan form where you can name this plan and set some additional settings;

•Apply Update - Clicking this button will apply the pricing or points changes defined in this Pricing Update Plan. That means the prices/points listed in the Target Update Values List will be applied to the PLUs & Locations listed here;

•Cancel - Clicking Cancel will close the PLU Update Plan Preview Details form. Any unsaved changes made with in this form will be lost.
