Introduction
This section covers price management and price level changes as well as loyalty point management. Redcat POS allows each product to have up to 5 different prices for each location where it is sold. Price levels 1-5 can be selected at the FOH either Automatically (based on the time of day) or manually (by a staff member selecting a Price Level Change Button). To save time and effort Polygon POS Management includes features for managing these product values on a large scale. Price/point levels can be set for a number of products at the same time by using the Price Management / Award Point Management / Reward Point Management forms. These forms are essentially the same. Whether they edit price levels or points levels depends on how they are accessed. See the How to Access sections from the previous link for more information.
Loyalty point systems are available when the Polygon Loyalty add-on module is purchased and installed. As a incentive for customers to come often, loyalty points can be accrued by members when they purchase a product. Later, these points can be spent (instead of money) on other products.
Award Points and Redemption points can be set for each PLU. A PLU's award points are given to a customer when the PLU is purchased. If the customer has saved points equal or greater than a PLU's redemption points the item can be bought with those points. For example a member could accrue 3 points when buying a coffee. When they have accrued 30 points they could use those points instead of money to buy a coffee.
A PLU can have up to 5 different Awarded Points and 5 different Redemption Points Values. If the price level at a POS terminal is changed the point level is also changed to the same level. This gives you the flexibility to reduce or cancel awarded points when using a lower price level. e.g You could make a rule that during happy hour no points are awarded for drink sales by setting level two prices to happy hour prices and setting level two award points to 0.

Polygon POS Management allows you to manage PLU prices, award points and redemption points in groups using using percentages, cash value increases/decreases or absolute values. For more information see PLU Price/Points Management.
Working with Individual PLUs
PLU price levels and point levels can also be edited for each individual PLU from the PLU Item Details file.
