Creating a Journal Entry allows you to make a manual adjustments to a stock item’s balance.
Enter the following information to create a new journal entry: •Date - Select today’s date or enter another date; •Transaction Type - Select the transaction type, select Credit to decrease the stock quantity and select Debit to increase the stock quantity; •Quantity (SMU) - Enter the quantity of the adjustment where quantity is a whole pack; •Loose Items - Enter the quantity of any loose items; •Cost Per Pack (SMU) - Enter the Cost Per Pack at the time of this Stock Journal; •Extended Cost - The Extended Cost is automatically calculated based on the quantity and the cost per pack. This item is read only; •Transaction Description - Enter the reason for the adjustment in the Description box; •Ledger Account - Select the relevant ledger account to record the adjustment against by clicking on the browse button and selecting an account from the Chart of Accounts Pick List.
Click OK to save the adjustment.
