Classes group together items for the purposes of production printing within your Polygon POS Management system. There are seven pre-defined classes; •Beverages: •Entrees; •Mains; •Desserts; •Other; •Special; •System.
You may also program your own classes in addition to these, and determine the order in which they will print on your production dockets. Classes are added and managed from the PLU Classes File.

The following options are available from the PLU Classes File: •To Create a new PLU Class - click on the New button to access the PLU Class Details form; •To Edit an existing PLU Class - click on the Change button to access the PLU Class Details form; •To Delete a PLU Class - Highlight the PLU Class and then click on the Delete button; •Reload List - This button is used in multi-user installations where multiple users may be entering data at the same time. Clicking this button will refresh the displayed data and show any changes made by other users; •To Print - Clicking on the Print button generates a PDF report which shows the currently listed Classes. This report can be saved, printed or converted to CSV format; •To change the Print Order - PLU Classes print on the production dockets (and customer receipts) in the order they are listed in this file. For example, the ‘Entrees’ class would be higher in the print order than the ‘Mains’ class. To change the print order highlight a class and use the Note: This will only apply if you enable production printing to ‘print in PLU Class order’ within the terminal settings (See section POS Network > Peripherals > Production Printer).
