This is where Polygon POS Management application user accounts (BOH Usernames and Passwords) are managed. The User Accounts File lists all current usernames. From here you can create new user accounts or edit existing accounts. Note: The system is delivered with a User Name of “1” and a Password of “1”. Change this account to use the details of the person who will have access to all aspects of the system. Each the Back of House (BOH) user can be assigned different access permissions that determine which software features can be used. e.g A a user may be allowed to add new products to the system but not allowed to view sales records. Each user account is assigned a security role which determines which features they can access. If you will be placing access limitations on some user accounts, see section Security Roles File for more information about configuring user permissions.
Note: Only users who have been granted the Manage Users application wide permission and the File > Application Settings main menu permission are able to access the User Accounts File.
If a number of people will be using the BOH, create additional user accounts for these users from this form. The following options are available from the User Accounts File: •To create a new Polygon POS Management Application User Account - Click on the New or New From button this will load the User Details form where you can enter the user's details; Handy Hint: To make data entry a more streamlined process you can take advantage of the New From function. By selecting an existing account and clicking on the New From button, the account being created will automatically be loaded with some of the same settings as the selected account. This is useful in cases where accounts that share the same characteristics (eg. have the same privileges) are being added. •To modify an existing Polygon POS Management Application User Account - Highlight the account, then click on the Change button. This will load the User Details form where you can edit the user's details; •To delete a Polygon POS Management Application User Account - Highlight the user and click on the Delete button •To Print - Click on the Print button. This will generate a report showing the currently listed accounts. This report can be saved, printed or exported to CSV file. •Reload List - This button is used in multi-user installations where multiple users may be entering data at the same time. Clicking this button will refresh the displayed accounts and show any changes made by other users.
Note: The Sender email address setting is specific to each BOH user account and should be configured as required across all user accounts that will email directly from the system. See Application Settings for more information.
