Reporting Categories are used to group PLUs logically when displayed in reports. Each PLU must belong to a Reporting Category. This form is used to enter Reporting Category details when editing or creating a Reporting Category.
From Polygon POS Management, Select Products from the main menu and then select the Reporting Categories File, Click the New button to add a new Reporting Category, or, Highlight an existing Reporting Category and click Change to modify the selected Reporting Category.

Completing Reporting Category Details:
•Enter the Category Name;
•Report this category as production units - This enables the category to be measured in selected reports as a production units. This means that rather than report the dollar value associated with the PLUs in the category, the system can report on the number of PLUs sold, and will only compile from categories with this tag selected;
•Click OK to save your changes.
