Polygon Back Office is the name of the financial modules of Red Cat Systems Polygon Suite 2016. It has been written by experts in the hospitality industry and is based on many years of practical experience. We have written this User Guide with you in mind by avoiding computer jargon wherever possible. Polygon Back Office is a comprehensive accounting and financial reporting package with five main functions:
•Suppliers
Recording invoices for goods & services received.
Paying suppliers for those goods & services.
•Clients
Creating & recording invoices to clients
Recording payments received from clients
•Accounting
Recording all the financial transactions needed to manage your business and prepare your tax return.
•Banking
Provides facilities to write cheques, record receipts and manage your bank accounts.
•Reports
Provides numerous reports needed to manage your business.

Add-On Modules
Optional Add-On Modules can be added to Polygon back office. To add stock inventory management features, the Polygon Inventory add-on module can be purchased, and to add payroll management features, the Polygon Payroll add on module can be purchased. These add on modules are described below.
Polygon Inventory (Optional Module)
Polygon Inventory is an optional module which enables you to maintain a record of the stock level of individual stock items and to review those records at any time. Polygon Inventory calculates the value of stock on hand of each stock item using the average cost method. It will generate recommended purchase orders according to existing stock levels. These purchase orders may later be used to speed up the entry of supplier invoices. Polygon Inventory provides a stock take facility that enables you to quickly identify variances between your stock records and the quantity recorded in the stock take and take the appropriate action. Polygon Payroll (Optional Module)
Polygon Payroll is an optional module which enables quick and easy hospitality payroll processing. It encompasses time sheets, pay rates, pay slips and allowances and deductions. Polygon Back Office for Multi-Department Systems
If you have purchased Polygon Back Office with a multi-department license, you also have the ability to departmentalise your revenue, expenses, costs and stock. Throughout this manual any detail which relates to multi-department functionality is shown under the heading “For Multi-Departmental Users” and is displayed in a font different to the rest of the manual.
