Activating POS PLU Levels

Polygon POS Management allows finite control at floor level for the amount of kitchen stock or portions per PLU item available. This is commonly known as the ‘specials countdown’ feature. It means that at the start of a trading session, the number of serves available for a particular item can be programmed, and this item will ‘countdown’ each time it is recorded as sold.

Completing System Settings

This feature is activated from POS Location Settings > POS Terminal Settings > PLU Level Tracking by ticking the Enable PLU Level Tracking setting.

Enabling Staff Access to Set PLU Levels

For legacy POS clients, at least one staff member must be given the privilege 'Set POS PLU Levels' before the feature can be programmed at the POS terminal.  See section POS Staff Accounts for more information about setting staff privileges.

If your installation is Polygon POS, your staff will need to have 'Change PLU price levels' enabled in their POS User Security Role.  See section POS User Security Roles for more information about defining staff security roles.

Programming the POS PLU Levels Keypad button.

A button which will allow the staff member access to this function must be created on one or more of your product keypads.

Instruction on this process can be found in the section Product Keypads > Other Keys > Set POS PLU Levels.
