Enabling the Bundy Clock Feature

Polygon POS Management now includes a bundy clock feature by default, this allows you to record time and attendance totals at the front of house (FOH) and print reports showing these clock on/off times.  If you have purchased the Polygon Payroll add-on module, the bundy clock feature can be integrated to the Back of House (BOH) so recorded shift start/finish times can be sent to the BOH and and used to calculate how much each employee should be paid.  Payslips can be printed and/or emailed to the employees, and direct entry files can be generated and sent to the bank for processing.  The steps for enabling these features are described below:

 

Enabling Clock On/Off Button

The Front of House (FOH) Clock On/Off button is enabled for each location from the BOH by ticking the Enable Time & Attendance tracking at POS setting from the POS Location Settings > POS Terminal Settings > Time & Attendance - General in a location's settings. It is a good idea to review the time and attendance settings described on this page in order to get the most of this system.  If you will not be using the Polygon Payroll BOH features, send an update to apply your changes.  See section Polygon POS Management > POS Updates for information about sending updates to the FOH.  The Bundy Clock Feature will now be available to your POS Staff at the FOH, see section Polygon Payroll (FOH) > Clock On/Clock Off for instructions explaining how to clock on and off at the FOH.

 

Enabling the Polygon Payroll BOH Features

If you will be using the Polygon Payroll BOH features, the Polygon Payroll POS Interface setting should be enabled from Polygon Back Office > Application Settings > Polygon Payroll > Polygon POS Wages Interface.

 

Linking POS Staff to Employee Records

Each Polygon POS Management staff member who will be using the clock on/off feature should be linked to their corresponding Polygon Payroll > Employee Record.  

Before linking a POS Staff Member to a Employee Record, the employee record must be created from the Polygon Back Office > Employees File.  To link a POS staff member record to a Polygon Payroll employee record, open the Polygon POS Management > POS Staff Accounts File by clicking the POS Staff button on the Polygon POS Management toolbar, select the POS Staff Account you wish to link and click the change button, or, click New to create a new POS Staff account.  This will load the POS Staff Details form which is shown below.

Click on the browse button btnBrowse next to the Payroll Employee text box.  This will display a list of available Employee records to link this staff member to.  Highlight the desired Employee record and click the Select button.  Then click the OK button to save your changes.  

 

Updating the FOH

Once the POS Staff Accounts have been linked to the Polygon Payroll Employee records, the Polygon Payroll Application Settings have been configured and the POS Location > Time & Attendance Settings have been configured, the FOH must be updated to apply these changes.  See section Polygon POS Management > POS Updates for information about sending updates to the FOH.  

 

The Bundy Clock Feature will now be available to your POS Staff at the FOH, see section Polygon Payroll (FOH) > Clock On/Clock Off for instructions explaining how to clock on and off at the FOH.
