A number of FOH shift management options are available to staff members who have been granted the Reset Master Terminal and Reset Timesheets privileges. These privileges are normally only granted to supervisors. See the section Polygon POS Management > POS Staff Details for more information about assigning privileges to POS Staff. Features available to these supervisors are:
To edit a shift for a staff member: •Log on to the POS Terminal. •If table floorplans are used, click the Over The Counter Sale button; •Click the Sales Reports button The Sales Reports & Reset Functions window will be presented.
•Highlight the Reset / View Time & Attendance File option from the Time & Attendance section of the window, then click the Select button. The Shift Hours Worked window will be displayed.
•Highlight the shift which you wish to edit and then click the Change button. The Time & Attendance Record for this shift will be displayed.
•Click the Keyboard button The following information can be edited from this form: oThe shift date - Click the T button oThe shift start time; oThe shift finish time; oThe rate of pay (Polygon Payroll users only) - To specify a different rate of pay, click the Rate browse button oThe department (Multi-Department users only) - To change which department this shift's expenses will be recorded to, click the Department browse button and then select the desired department. See section Polygon Back Office > Department Accounts File for more information about departments. oThe work type - If work types have been enabled, click the Work Type browse button •Make the relevant changes, and choose the OK button to save the changes.

A staff supervisor with the relevant privileges may delete a shift for an employee (perhaps your system is set to use Terminal Departments and the employee has clocked on using the wrong terminal). To delete a shift for a staff member: •Log on to the POS Terminal. •If table floorplans are used, click the Over The Counter Sale button; •Click the Sales Reports button The Sales Reports & Reset Functions window will be presented.
•Highlight the Reset / View Time & Attendance File option under the Time & Attendance heading, then click Select. The Time & Attendance File window will be displayed.
•Highlight the shift which you wish to delete, then click the Delete button. The selected shift will be permanently removed from the system.

A staff supervisor with the relevant privileges may create a new shift for an employee (perhaps your system is set to use Terminal Departments and the employee clocked on using the wrong terminal, this has been deleted, but now the shift needs to be entered using the correct terminal). To add a shift for a staff member, the supervisor will: •Log on to the POS Terminal; •If table floorplans are used, click the Over The Counter Sale button; •Select the Sales Reports button The Sales Reports & Reset Functions window will be presented.
•Highlight the Reset / View Time & Attendance File option under the Time & Attendance heading, then click Select. The Time & Attendance File window will be displayed.
•Click the Employee browse button •Highlight the desired employee and click the Select button; •Click the New button; The Time & Attendance Record will be displayed; •Click the Keyboard button •Enter the details of the shift, and choose the OK button to save the information.

The Time and Attendance Totals report allows you to print a hard copy of finalised shifts which haven't been reset yet. To view this report: •Log on to the POS Terminal. •If table floorplans are used, click the Over The Counter Sale button; •Click the Sales Reports button The Sales Reports & Reset Functions window will be presented.
•Highlight the Time & Attendance Totals option under the Time & Attendance heading, then click the Select button; The Time & Attendance Totals report will be shown on the screen, click the Print button

to print a hard copy on the POS terminal's default receipt printer.
