Reports

There are several reports that can be viewed on the POS Terminal to provide a snapshot of how the business is performing during a trading period.

These reports can be accessed by:

•Log into the POS Terminal;

•If you use table floorplans, click the Over The Counter Sale button at the top of the screen;

•Press the Sales Reports button towards the top left corner of the screen;

•Enter your password;

•If your POS User Account has been assigned "Reset master terminal (POS manager)" privilege, then the Sales Reports & Reset Functions Screen will be displayed;

•Highlight the the desired report, then click on the Select button to view a preview of the report;

•If you wish to print, click on the Print button. btnFOHPrint

The reports available from the front of house are described below:

POS Area Z-Read Report

This report advises the total amount of each media type recorded for all terminals in the POS area. It may be used to count and balance the actual contents of the cash drawer(s). It is also the data which will be available for downloading at the back-of-house.

If your system includes handheld stations, it will also detail the names of each staff member, and the amount of cash they should have from sales entered and finalised using the handheld stations. Please note that these amounts are also included in the Cash figure of the Z Read.

The POS Area Z-Read Report is automatically run when a POS area is reset at the end of a trading period. See section Closing Procedure - Reconciling and Resetting The Terminal for more information about the Closing Procedure.

POS Terminal Z-Read Report

This report advises the total amount of each media type recorded for this specific POS terminal during the trading session. It may be used to count and balance the actual contents of the cash drawer attached to this terminal.

X-Read Report (POS area)

This report details the breakdown (in units) of all PLU’s sold during the trading session, from all POS terminals in the POS area.

Sales by Hour (POS area)

This report breaks down and displays the $ value of sales per hour, for each hour in the current 24 hour period, from all POS terminals in the POS area.

Sales by ½ Hour (POS area)

This report breaks down and displays the $ value of sales per hour, for each hour in the current 24 hour period, from all POS terminals in the POS area.

Food & Beverage Report

This report groups and totals all sold PLUs by the type of their assigned class. Class types can be Food, Beverage or Other.

Sales by PLU Class

This report groups PLU Sales by their PLU class for a specified period of up to 24 hours. The sales for each PLU type are grouped by PLU Class are totaled and a grand total is displayed at the bottom of the report.

Trading Contribution Report

This report includes details of Sales by Revenue, summaries of Daily Sales, Management Account charges, Promotions, Discount Revenue and Units Sold by Class. This report can be run for a specified time frame of up to 24 hours.

This report is available from POS Terminals the terminal if Enable Contribution Report setting has been enabled from Polygon POS Management Location Settings > POS Terminal Settings > Printing - Z-Report.

Cash Drawer Clearance

This is where you can perform a Cash Drawer Clearance. See section FOH Reports > Cash Drawer Clearance for more information on this topic.

Cash Drawer Clearance Report

This report shows any Cash Drawer Clearances that have occurred in the trading period.
