Peripherals are all the associated hardware that will be used with a POS Terminal. For example, printers, cash drawers and customer display units. The POS Peripherals form allows you to enter the details for new or existing peripherals.
From Polygon POS Management, Access POS Network File by clicking the POS Network button on the toolbar, Highlight the POS Terminal that you wish to add a peripheral to, Click the New button, then select Peripheral, or, Highlight an existing peripheral and click the Change button

The POS Peripherals form looks differently depending on which sort of device is being configured. When adding a new peripheral, the first step is to select the Device Type. If you are editing an existing Peripheral the Device Type will be read only. Because the Peripherals form looks different depending on which sort of device you are configuring each device type is covered on a different page. Device Connections
•Receipt Printer - A printer which prints customer receipts
•Production Printer - A printer which prints orders to be prepared
•Cash Drawer - Used to store cash
•Legacy Production Display - A screen which displays current orders
•EFT Pinpad - allows configuration of integrated EFTPOS for the POS Terminal
•Weight Scale - Used to weigh products at POS
•Promo Players - Display sale information and promotional images on customer facing monitors at the FOH
•Intelligent Production Display - Interactive production queue which displays order information for kitchen staff
•Customer Display - A customer facing display which displays combinations of sale detail and advertisements for customers
•Production Server - Required for the web-based Kitchen Display System (KDS)
Many peripheral types require the assignment of relevant production categories. It can be time consuming, and a category can be easily missed when working with long lists of categories. To assist, it is possible to copy | paste from the category assignment list on one peripheral to another.
To do this: •Access the peripheral device that contains the category assignment list you want to copy. •Choose the Category Printing tab. •Use the Copy button •Access the peripheral device that you want to add the category assignment to. •Use the Paste button
